A winner at the Wieniawski (2001), Moscow Paganini (2004) and Sendai (2007) competitions, the Russian violinist and the Ukrainian pianist – the latter gold medallist at the 2013 Van Cliburn Competition – are regular duo partners; they include a work by a leading Ukrainian composer who fled Kyiv for Berlin in 2022.
