On demand: Elgar's Cello Concerto in E minor

Bergen Philharmonic OrchestraRecorded at Grieg Hall (Grieghallen), Bergen, Norway

Edward Elgar's Cello Concerto in E minor is his last notable work, a cornerstone of the solo cello repertoire. Elgar composed it in the aftermath of World War 1, and it is for the most part contemplative and elegiac.

Watch this piece performed by the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Edward Gardner, with Leonard Elschenbroich on cello.

Filmed in September 2016.
