Gothenburg Concert Hall: Stora SalenGötaplatsen, Gothenburg, Västra Götaland, Sweden
September 19 19:30, September 20 18:00

A musical journey with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra beyond time and space where the experience of a moment plays against the vastness of infinity.

It has been 50 years since the Eagle landed in the Sea of Tranquillity and Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon on July 21, 1969. What did he think about, when he first saw the earth from the moon?

Icelandic musician, composer and conductor Daníel Bjarnason takes us on a musical journey beyond time and space where the experience of a moment plays against the vastness of infinity. An evening of music, pictures and stories with music by Bjarnason, Adams, Ligeti, Shostakovich, Stravinsky, Thorvaldsdottir and others.

This concert is part of Space Week

50 years have passed since the first moon landing. This is highlighted in West Sweden from 1 to 22 September with a broad program for all ages highlighting the importance of space for innovation, inspiration, science, industry, research, environment, sustainability, social benefits, culture, art and creativity.
