Thomas DunfordDirector & harpsichord

In a programme showcasing the lute’s attributes as a solo instrument, hear the music of J S Bach, Buxtehude and Vivaldi, culminating in the latter’s glorious Concerto for Lute in D.

Revel in this repertoire with one of the instrument’s most acclaimed interpreters, whom BBC Music Magazine crowned ‘the Eric Clapton of the lute’ following the launch of Dunford’s debut album release in 2013. With his fleet fingers, glowing tone and natural abilities as a communicator, this will surely be a performance to remember.
