On demand: La Balle rougeKids event

Home with Bergen International FestivalRecorded at Fana Kulturhus, Bergen, Norway
Online until Monday 29 June 2020 18:00 (Oslo time zone)

A touching presentation of the emotional life of foam rubber.

Two foam rubber figures meet by a red ball. They fall in love, builds a home, and have cute foam rubber babies – and drift apart again.

This beautiful performance for children presents a nuanced palette of emotions, carried out by excellent puppeteers and a cello and bandoneon duo. The history is told without the use of a single word and both big and small are invited to make up things on the way. In a flash, the simple figures come to life as if they had escaped the imagination of the two musicians on stage.

The performance is created by the French Compagnie Balle Rouge, and they also received the Production of the Year award at the international Young Audience Music Awards 2017, and also the award for Best Small Ensemble.

Stay with this video even if it is really slow to start playing the video. It's worth the wait. (Alison, Bachtrack)
