2018 is the 200th anniversary of the birth of Henry Litolff. In his early years he was taught by Ignaz Moscheles in London before commencing a virtuoso piano career in Europe. In later in life he was respected enough for Liszt to dedicate his own first piano concerto to him.

This programme presents a variety of works by Litolff in the context of music by his teacher and his contemporary.
