The icy, dark beauty of Jonny Greenwood’s Water gently ripples over you, starting an afternoon of musical intrigue. Oliver Leith’s Honey Siren is rich and luminescent, the music described by the composer as ‘dripping, hazy, globular, oozing’. Cassandra Miller’s gentle Chanter is like a lullaby for guitar and orchestra, plus there’s swooping, evocative music that’s full of character by Thomas Adés and Gavin Bryars.
