Three Voices was written in 1982 for Joan La Barbara and sets to music a section of Wind, a poem Frank O'Hara dedicated to Feldman. The score is intended as a trio for one voice, with two pre-recorded parts and one to be performed live. In the Amare performance, this exceptional trio is formed by Juliet Fraser!
