Festival: Opera in the City Festival

Bridewell Theatre, City of London

London’s new summer opera festival takes place for the first time in 2017 and is organised by Time Zone Theatre Ltd in collaboration with the Bridewell Theatre. The exciting performance space right in the heart of the City of London will become the home of new and innovative opera productions, which appeal to both regular opera audiences and those new to opera.

The aim of the festival is to create a new, creative hub in the City. Artistic director Pamela Schermann programmes a range of operatic works from rarely performed, forgotten masterpieces to experimental productions, which combine art forms and push the boundaries of classical music. All productions are fully staged and performed in English.
