Performer: Vlad Agachi


Vlad Agachi is one of the most active Romanian young conductors, his musical education being decisively influenced by Daniel Barenboim during his internship at the Staatsoper Berlin. Nationally, he is the conductor and founder of the Young Famous Orchestra (www.youngfamous.ro), with whom he is converting the symphonic concert into a profoundly emotional experience for the audience, which is invited in different manners to be integrated in the musical phenomenon.

Nationally, Vlad Agachi has an extensive collaboration with the major Philharmonic Orchestras of Romania and with the National Opera in Cluj-Napoca. Internationally, Vlad Agachi is currently appointed as General Music Director of the Piura Symphony Orchestra (Peru), also undertaking, besides a full concert season, extensive social work with children and adults alike, educating through music, bringing it to the most remote places of the region. In 2012, Vlad Agachi was invited as a Tanglewood fellow, receiving the Seiji Ozawa Fellowship, studying with André Previn, Charles Dutoit and Miguel Harth-Bedoya. He enriched his experience studying with Christian Badea, Jorma Panula and Yoel Levi. He graduated from the National University of Music in Bucharest, Romania. In 2011 he won third prize at the Jeunesses Musicales Conducting Competition (Bucharest, Romania).
