At home: AVROTROS Dutch Public Broadcasting

AVROTROS is one of the Netherlands’ most prominent television and radio broadcasters, with roots dating back to 1927. The result of a merger between two of the country’s major networks at the beginning of 2014, its stated aim is to educate and inform.

Unsurprisingly, then, Bachtrack is excited to be working with AVROTROS’ classical wing, AVROTROS Klassiek, on the At Home project. AVROTROS Klassiek regularly broadcasts performances from the likes of the Netherlands Radio Choir and the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, which is currently being led by the German conductor Markus Stenz.

The wide range of broadcasts on AVROTROS Klassiek over the past years also showcase a rich variety of artists and repertoire, including a number of performances from the International Chamber Music Festival and the Early Music Festival, which take place annually in Utrecht.
