On demand: Mozart's Violin Concerto no. 5

Bergen Philharmonic OrchestraRecorded at Grieg Hall (Grieghallen), Bergen, Norway

The Violin Concerto no. 5, often referred to by the nickname "The Turkish", was written by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to be premiered during the Christmas season of 1775 in Salzburg. It follows the typical fast-slow-fast musical structure.

‘His zestful love for these works shines from every bar’ reads a recent review of Henning Kraggerud’s new recording of this piece. Watch as Kraggerud joins the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra and German conductor Christoph König for this stately yet exotic concerto.
