Some pieces are classics for a reason, with tunes so good that they just never stop feeling fresh. Beethoven’s sweeping Eroica Symphony caused a sensation when it was first performed and over 200 years later, classical music is still reeling from the aftershock. Featured Artist Anthony Parnther kicks the evening off with two powerful songs of freedom – a blazing testament from post-war Poland and an explosive, specially commissioned new showcase for the RSNO’s very own star timpanist, Paul Philbert.
Tickets: £14, £21, £28, £34, £40 (Booking fees may apply. Discounts are available for under 18s, under 26s, mature students, unemployed patrons, patrons with disabilities and groups.)
