For all his success on the international opera stage, Lieder remains Konstantin Krimmel’s first love. The young German-Romanian baritone’s recording of Die schöne Müllerin won a coveted German Record Critics’ Award in 2023, commended by the jury for the subtle ways in which he gave ‘the all-too-familiar a personal spin’ and for the ‘sheer beauty’ of his sound.
