World-renowned violinist and conductor Maxim Vengerov will celebrate 40 years on stage at the Royal Albert Hall.
Universally hailed as one of the world’s greatest living string players, Maxim Vengerov has also won numerous Grammy, Brit and Gramophone awards, and was the first classical musician to be appointed Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF. He teaches at the neighbouring Royal College of Music and at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg.
The night’s programme will include Beethoven’s Triple Concerto, Shostakovich’s famous Violin Concerto No1 and a work by Sarasate.
