He’ll lower the bow to the strings, and raise it to the musicians.
For the first time, cellist Truls Mørk plays and leads the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra in a programme that could be a showcase for the cello as a beautiful, versatile and absolutely wonderful instrument. From Vaughan Williams’ suggestive strings in the Tallis Variations, to Piazzolla’s sensual tango rhythms and Tchaikovsky’s nostalgic Souvenirs of Florence from the 1800s.
Truls Mørk is Artist in Residence this season (2016-2017).
