Thanks to an illustrious dynasty of composers connected with Milan Cathedral, the shadows of the galant style spread there into the nineteenth century. Coro Ghislieri reconstructs a mass as it might have sounded from the cathedral’s choir balconies in 1805-1813. Expect traditional cantus firmus repertoire, one-part Ambrosian chants and rousing concertato music from Fioroni to Quaglia.
