Video streamed event and on demand: Schubert Week: Marie Seidler, Frederic Jost & Wolfram Rieger

As part of the Schubert Week, the Pierre Boulez Saal once again welcomes a group of young singers who are about to embark on an international career. Leading up to their recitals, these rising artists have been working on their programs with Thomas Hampson over the course of several masterclasses.

Mezzo-soprano Marie Seidler and bass Frederic Jost, together with Wolfram Rieger, open this year’s festival. Both have been part of the Schubert Week’s workshop program in previous seasons.

January is Schubert month at the Pierre Boulez Saal: for the third consecutive year, Thomas Hampson has invited renowned lied singers and the most promising talents of the younger generation, together with their piano partners, to dedicate an entire week to the world of the Schubert lied—even in these challenging times.

This concert, followed by an interactive Q&A session, will be streamed live on Monday, January 18, from 9 pm and will be available on our website for free on-demand viewing for 30 days.
