"I'm in love with Vienna": Renée Fleming and friends at Carnegie Hall

Billed as “Vienna: Window to Modernity”, it was never clear what was specifically Viennese about the music on show, nor what was particularly modern, nor what windows had to do with anything.

Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center: Dvořák and Brahms

The talent was top-shelf at Alice Tully Hall on Sunday evening, kicking off 2013 for the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center with a cello sonata by Brahms, and trios by Dvořák and Haydn. Emerson String Quartet violinist Philip Setzer joined co-artistic directors of the Society David Finckel on (cello) and Wu Han (piano).

Gonzalo Tello

Gonzalo Tello is the classical music critic of El Comercio Newspaper. Has been writing about opera, classical music and other performing arts since 2004 from Lima and New York City. He founded "Ópera Perú" in 2007 to promote musical arts in Peru and the region, since the lack of interest in national media. Interviews, reviews, new media and trends in classical music are the main focus in this project. Tello worked as collaborator with El Comercio Newspaper since 2004, "ProÓpera" of Mexico, and "Mundo Clásico" of Spain since 2009, "Cosas" y "¡Hola! Perú" magazines since 2010. He founded the Wagner Society of Lima in 2010. He was producer and host of the weekly show "Ventana Cooltural" on MulaTV until 2012. He is a frequent collaborator with Radio Filarmonía 102.7 fm, the only classical radio station of Peru. Tello hosts “Une soirée musicale francophone” dedicated to French classical music, and “Tardes de Ópera”, hosting Metropolitan Opera radio transmissions and all-time opera recordings.
