A radical new piece about disappearing. And appearing.

With 30 appearances out of darkness, Arno Schuitemaker has created an experience in which a new dimension opens from the darkness. What is dark can be frightening, literally as well as figuratively.
Schuitemaker: ‘Maybe we can find enlightenment by disappearing into it, if only to come out on the other side.’

Impressive images emerge from the pitch dark, sometimes on the edge of perception. Enchanting, mysterious, hypnotising. Assumptions we make are challenged. A group of performers move across the stage. Not everyone is visible at the same time, but their presence is always felt. They appear and disappear, never in the same way - found, lost and searching again.

This world, it seems, has its own kind of gravity, and everything and everyone is inserted into a new, boundless dimension. However sinister, this darkness, this intense darkness, has become a place of endless possibilities.

Hopefulness is risky, since after all it is a form of trust,
trust in the unknown and possible.
