Beethoven’s sweeping Eroica Symphony caused a sensation when it was first performed and over 200 years later, classical music is still reeling from the aftershock. Featured Artist Anthony Parnther kicks the evening off with two powerful songs of freedom – a blazing testament from post-war Poland and an explosive, specially commissioned new showcase for the RSNO’s very own star timpanist, Paul Philbert.
