Step into the elegance of candlelight and embark on the next stop of our Grand Tour—a concert series celebrating the rich piano traditions of different nations. For this enchanting evening, we journey to France, immersing ourselves in the colour, charm, and sophistication of French piano music, performed in the glorious surroundings of St Mary le Strand, one of London’s most exquisite Baroque churches.

Internationally acclaimed pianist Julian Trevelyan presents a beautifully crafted programme that spans three centuries of French keyboard artistry—from the sparkling Baroque miniatures of Daquin and Rameau, through the poetic Impressionism of Debussy, Fauré, and Ravel, to the profound Romanticism of César Franck. With its blend of refinement and imagination, this recital captures the spirit of French culture in music.

Enjoy a complimentary glass of French wine as you soak in the glowing ambience of the venue — whether you're discovering classical music for the first time or returning as a devoted listener.

About the Artist
Julian Trevelyan is one of the most exciting pianists of his generation, performing regularly throughout Europe and the UK. Now based in France, he has since won major prizes at the Leeds, Géza Anda, and Horowitz International Piano Competitions.

Julian has appeared as a soloist with leading orchestras across Europe, including the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Orchestre de Chambre de Paris, and St Petersburg Philharmonic, among many others. His recordings include Mozart’s Piano Concertos Nos. 23 and 24 with the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, released on the ALPHA label.
