“As long as people have been singing,” says composer David Lang, “love songs have been around.”
In his arrangement of passionate chansons by medieval composer Guillaume de Machaut (c. 1300-1377) he searches for those underlying, universal emotions. None other than Claron McFadden brings them to life in this concert in a phenomenal way.
