Florilegium’s fruitful immersion in the music of Georg Philipp Telemann has opened fresh perspectives on the work of a German Baroque composer who bridged the gap between past styles and new musical fashions and cultivated an eclectic ‘mixed taste’, nourished by ideas from France, Italy and elsewhere.
