Wettbewerb: Concours musical international de Montréal

Biographie

The CMIM (Concours musical international de Montréal) is one of the world’s most highly regarded classical music competitions. The CMIM takes place annually and serves to promote the continued growth and strength of classical music, as well as provide a showcase for young singers, pianists and violinists from around the world. They are joined on the stages of this city’s finest concert halls by world-class collaborative pianists and the renowned Orchestre symphonique de Montréal. Known equally for its integrity and high standards as well as its warmth and hospitality, the CMIM has helped discover and launch the careers of some of today’s most successful concert artists namely soprano Measha Brueggergosman, pianists Nareh Argamenyan and Beatrice Rana, bass-baritone Philippe Sly, and violinist Benjamin Beilman. All selected competitors are flown to Montreal to perform in front of a live audience, invited industry professionals, and a distinguished international jury. High-definition webcasts of all rounds provide invaluable global exposure.
