The Barbican Quartet reached audiences across Europe thanks to its First Prize-winning performance in the hotly contested 2022 ARD International String Quartet Competition. Its latest Wigmore Hall programme places two exquisite landmarks of the 20th-century string quartet repertoire together with Rebecca Clarke’s elegiac Poem, composed a century ago and only recently rediscovered.
