The Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra plays the sadly neglected French composer Louise Farrenc’s exuberant Overture No. 1. It is followed by the Swedish premiere of Esa-Pekka Salonens latest work, Kínēma. Soloist: principal clarinetist Niklas Andersson. The concert concludes with Ravel’s popular Suite No. 2, based on the ballet Daphnis et Chloë. All under the baton of the young British conductor Ben Glassberg.
