Homage to Buster Keaton

Concluding the tribute to Buster Keaton during the Venice Carnival, we present Ball No. 13 , one of the most extraordinary works of all silent cinema. Here, the screen becomes both threshold and mirror: Keaton, in the role of a young projectionist with detective ambitions, doesn't simply watch a film, but literally enters it, dissolving the boundaries between reality and fiction.

Cinema tells its story, revealing its deceptions with irony and wit, in a whirlwind of inventions that still amaze today for their technical and poetic audacity. All this will be accompanied by an evocative piano program, drawn from the repertoire of French Romanticism, to underscore and revive the emotions and surprises of this labyrinthine journey through moving images.
