Kafka-Fragmente

'The Master of the Miniature', is how the Hungarian composer György Kurtág is sometimes called. In his Kafka Fragments he more than lives up to this honorary title.

The work consists of 40 short movements, often less than a minute long, written for just one violin and one soprano. The text consists of sentences taken from the diaries and letters of the brilliant Czech writer Franz Kafka.
