New Year's Eve à la carte

To round off the year, we are treat our audience to a colourful brainteaser: choose your own New Year’s Eve concert and we will play your requests. But before that, you’ll have a tough choice to make, because there’s a wide range of works in different categories to pick from: 5 exciting overtures, 10 enchanting orchestral and violin pieces – and even 5 lively encores. The »game master« has already been appointed: the young and versatile conductor Aurel Dawidiuk, also a successful pianist and organist, was recently named Associate Conductor of the renowned Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. He discovered his passion for conducting as a young boy while playing, which he described in an interview: »As a child, I would always arrange my Playmobil figures into an orchestra and play music with them«. The »musical polling stations« are now open for you to cast your votes on our website and in our shop in the centre of Bamberg. We are very excited to find out which pieces will be the favourites of our concertgoers and can’t wait to find out what the final programme will look like. But remember, there isn’t much time to make up your mind: on the first Sunday of Advent, the final results will be announced with the words »Les jeux sont faits, rien ne va plus«. Bamberg will then have made its choice – and we will be delighted to present the selected works at the end of the year!
