Façade – An Entertainment, first performed in 1923, is a series of poems by renowned, English modernist Edith Sitwell, recited over William Walton’s jazz-influenced and rhythmically vibrant music. This event will be a rare opportunity to experience a performance, followed by a three course meal with wine, in the Renaissance grandeur of Christ Church Great Hall.
The music will be performed by the Christ Church players under the direction of Nicholas Cleobury. Narrators to be announced.
The evening will open with the performance followed by a three course dinner with wine. Your ticket will cover both parts of the evening.
