The programme Franz Liszt: Harmony of Light covers the emotional, psychological and spiritual highlights from Liszt’s piano oeuvre. Liszt is an important source of inspiration for Kaptein. Her debut CD Lebenswanderung with Liszt transcriptions was released in 2024 by the label TRPTK, and she is the vice-chair of the Franz Liszt Society in the Netherlands. Kaptein: ‘After pain and sorrow, faith always triumphs in Liszt’s work. The music carries and guides us from darkness to light, from grief to exaltation.’
