Ravel’s jazzy Piano Concerto in G major makes a perfect showpiece for the prominent French pianist Cédric Tiberghien, who previously impressed audiences here at the 23rd Singapore International Piano Festival. This dazzling and novel concerto contrasts with Beethoven’s vivacious Eighth Symphony - “my little Symphony in F”. But of course, nothing from Beethoven is ever truly little. SSO Principal Guest Conductor Andrew Litton conducts this captivating programme at the Victoria Concert Hall.
