El concierto inaugural del 37 Festival Internacional de Música de Canarias ha estado protagonizado por el director Gustavo Dudamel y la Orquesta del Encuentro, en un programa que incluyó obras de Schönberg y Tchaikovsky.

Noche transfigurada sonó magnífica en este maravilloso entorno y el conjunto logró capturar la esencia del sexteto original.

La noche trasfigurada copó la velada gracias a una sección de cuerdas que logró efectuar una interpretación memorable de esta obra maestra, no sin el mérito también del director James Conlon, que ofreció una versión pausada y cuidadosa con la arquitectura armónica de la composición. Al otro lado de la balanza, la Sinfonía lírica de Alexander Zemlinsky, un compositor cuyo nombre aparece habitualmente ensombrecido por el genio de Schönberg.

La temporada de la Sinfónica de Galicia recibía la visita de un jovencísimo director, el finlandés Klaus Mäkelä ante un programa especialmente atractivo: una obra infrecuente de Schumann, con el siempre revelador Javier Perianes en el tercer concierto para piano de Bartok, y una breve y concentrada segunda parte con la Noche transfigurada de Schoenberg.
