Festival O/Modernt 2023 pays tribute to Brahms, pairing his chamber and symphonic works with new Brahms-inspired commissions by Albert Schnelzer, Sebastian Fagerlund and Jill Jarman, and juxtaposing his music with some unexpected partners, including the rock band Nirvana, Henry Purcell and Philip Glass. O/Modernt gathers a wonderful array of artists from around the world to share the stage with emerging talents for a week of concerts and arts events.

In 1976 the renowned Swedish opera singer Kierstin Dellert took on the mantle of restoring Confidencen, supported by the Ulriksdal Palace Theatre Foundation, and it stands here today as a tribute to her tireless work, unfailing love and unrelenting perseverance.
The closest airport is Arlanda Airport. Arlanda Express (train service) operates from the Airport and to the Central Station every 10-15 min throughout the day. The travel time is 18 minutes. This is the fastest and most eco-friendly travel option. Another option is the bus service Flyggbussarna, which provides fast transportation from the airport to Stockholm Central Station bus stop, taking only 45 minutes. The bus stop is conveniently situated close to the station.
From Stockholm Central Station, it takes ca 15 minutes by car or 20 minutes by public transport. Take the metro to Bergshamra, then bus 503 to Ulriksdals Wärdshus.

The festival is scheduled to take place in June; nevertheless, concert goers should anticipate intermittent rainfall and dress accordingly with layered clothing. However, it should be noted that the performances are staged indoors.
