Two of Bach’s finest cantatas come to life with soprano Julia Doyle and baritone Florian Störtz, joined by a superb period- instrument ensemble under Max Barley. With international acclaim for Doyle’s ‘quicksilver suppleness’ (Gramophone), and Störtz’s recent competition triumphs at the International Handel Singing Competition and Helmut Deutsch Song Competition, these rising stars promise a performance of beauty, insight and spiritual depth.
