A landmark concert marking 150 years of the Royal Choral Society’s Good Friday performances of Handel’s Messiah at the Royal Albert Hall.

On Good Friday, 14 April 1876, the Royal Choral Society gave its first performance of Handel’s Messiah here at the Royal Albert Hall starting an annual tradition that continues today, interrupted only by the Blitz in 1940-41 and the Covid 19 pandemic in 2020-21.

Hearing the spine-tingling choruses of the UK’s favourite choral work performed live by voices and full orchestra in the magnificent surroundings of London’s famous concert hall is an unmatchable, bucket-list experience.

This performance will be conducted by the Royal Choral Society’s Music Director Richard Cooke, and the choir will be accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra with a quartet of superb soloists.

Book your tickets now for this very special edition of one of the capital city’s quintessential Easter events.
