Festival: Point Music Festival

Does music make us more healthy? Yes, many studies indicate that music and other cultural experiences not only make us feel good at the moment, but also provide long-term positive effects on both mind and body.

The question is, what really happens in the brain when we are put in different moods and how we are affected by it. Professor Emeritus Gunnar Bjursell talks about the latest findings in an exciting research field.

Participants include Beethoven expert Åke Holmqvist, the composer Bent Sørensen and Fredrik Ullén, pianist and professor of cognitive neuroscience at Karolinska Institutet.

The lecture is conducted in collaboration with the AHA Festival, which explores the meeting of art and science.
