The Royal Swedish Opera is the first theatre in Sweden to present a work written and performed in Northern Sámi. Eatnama váibmu (The Heart of the Earth), is based on the Sámi creation myth, which features a highly topical theme, the struggle between good and evil and living in harmony with nature. The audience will encounter a new, visual interpretation of the Sámi tradition and enjoy singing ghosts, a large children’s choir and yoik.
