A matchless ladies' man or a liberty seeker? The hero, Don Juan, brimming with complex charms, irresistibly captures our hearts. He has been portrayed by countless artists, but the portrayal in MOZART's "Don Giovanni" is overwhelming in presence. It is a clever comedy as well as a psychodrama; many would call it an operatic masterpiece for its cathartic power. Don Giovanni is played this Season by Nicola ULIVIERI, making for a Don Juan with ample attractive charm. Starring opposite in the role of Donna Elvira is WAKIZONO Aya, who has performed at La Scala and other opera houses in Italy, while the role of Donna Anna is played by Marigona QERKEZI, a rising performer with a beautiful voice. The role of Zerlina is played by yet another rising star, KUSHIMA Kanae, who started her career at the New National Theatre Opera Studio. Don Ottavio is played by high-profile bel canto Juan Francisco GATELL, while the roles of Leporello and Masetto are taken on by veterans Giovanni FURLANETTO and KUBO Kazunori. You can expect great things from this new "Don Giovanni".

In Italian with Japanese surtitles.
