|Chaillou, David||Little Nemo|

|Bruno de Lavenère||Set Designer, Costume Designer|
Little Nemo was first a cartoon — one of the first in the history of the genre — created by Winsor McCay in 1905. Published in the New York Herald, it tells the story of a little boy, Nemo ("person" in Latin), who each night from the foot of his bed heads off to the kingdom of Slumberland, in search of the Princess, the daughter of King Morpheus.
A perfect opera for the whole family, Little Nemo is a great way to discover the waking dream that is opera, a fabulous initiation into music and song in which composer David Chaillou crosses genres from popular to classical music, from Mozart to opera buffa, in a free-reining fantasy that Winsor McCay himself would not disown.
