Bergen Philharmonic OrchestraRecorded at Grieg Hall (Grieghallen), Bergen, Norway

Watch Chief Conductor Edward Gardner take the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra through Brahms’s hearty Hungarian Dances nos. 6 and 5 at the 2018 BrahmsFest.

The Hungarian Dances are a set of 21 lively dance tunes based mostly on Hungarian themes. Brahms completed them in 1869. They vary from about a minute to five minutes in length. They are among the composer's most popular works. Each dance has been arranged for a wide variety of instruments and ensembles.

Filmed in September 2018.
