The seventh edition of the Early Music Day will take place across Europe on Thursday 21 March 2019.

The Early Music Day – organised by REMA, the Réseau European de Musique Ancienne/European Early Music Network – celebrates a heritage that spans over 1000 years of musical history, from the music of the Middle Ages to the 18th century. More than a hundred events (concerts, lectures, workshops…) will take place across the continent, with around 20 concerts live streamed on Facebook as part of a digital celebration through, giving everyone the opportunity to attend concerts from their home.

Watch an interview with French harpsichordist Jean Rondeau, this year’s Early Music Day ambassador.
