Stephen Hough Piano Concerto + Saint-Saëns Organ Symphony

The Singapore Symphony welcomes back celebrated British pianist Sir Stephen Hough in this attractive programme under the baton of SSO Associate Conductor Rodolfo Barráez. Our distinguished guest will grace the Singapore stage with the Asian premiere of his own piano concerto – The World of Yesterday, an instantly appealing work infused with wistful nostalgia and intoxicating waltz, with a terrific finish you won’t want to miss. Saint-Saëns’s Organ Symphony is equal parts tranquillity and majesty, the finest example of what a massive pipe organ joining the ranks of a symphony orchestra can achieve together.
