It’s all in the nature of things, foxes and people.

Vixen lives by her instincts and by her wits. Something about her strikes a chord in the Forester. They first meet when she is just a cub. He takes her captive, but she soon breaks free and sets about finding a home and the fox of her dreams. As animals, insects and people take their chances and make their choices, or simply watch the world go by, Nature renews its miraculous, eternal cycle. Energised by Janáček’s exuberant rhythms, The Cunning Little Vixen captures the joys, thrills, fears and sorrows of our existence – whether or not we have a tail.

Part of Opera Holland Park’s 2021 Season in their new 400-seat performance space. Built with sustainable materials and located in the heart of one of London’s most beautiful parks, the newly designed auditorium offers audiences an immediate connection to the emotional drama of opera, while also being customised for safe social distancing, and providing greater accessibility.
