Modigliani Quartet | |
Beatrice Rana | Klavier |
A widely acclaimed performer, a builder of festivals - most notably reviving the Rencontres Musicales d'Évian in 2014 - a mentor to younger generations and a muse to many of today's composers, the Modigliani Quartet has been one of France's leading ensembles for two decades. The quartet is happy to work with partners who help to broaden its repertoire. Italian pianist Beatrice Rana, for example, is an inspired soloist regularly invited by the Quartet, and an inspiring chamber musician whose dialogue with the strings is always fascinating. Yesterday in a concerto, today in a quintet of rare works by Shostakovich: her talent shines without limit, in all repertoires.
