The powerful and deeply romantic climax of Wagner’s opera, Tristan and Isolde features in the first half of this concert, which starts with the noble and atmospheric Prelude and Nocturne for the left hand by Scriabin. Julie Cooper’s evocative piano soundscape, Galilean Moons, contrasts with the precise brilliance of Bach in the second half.
