Intimate expression and excellence in music old and new are qualities shared by the instrumentalists of Manchester Collective and the ace ensemble singers of The Marian Consort. Performing in this concert as string quartet and vocal quartet, they unveil Wintering by Samantha Fernando, whose compositions are known for their kaleidoscopic breadth of harmonic colour and rich resonance.
