Join us for an uplifting half-day exploration of the sacred music of William Byrd (c.1540–1623), one of the most influential composers of the English Renaissance. A devout Catholic writing in Protestant England, Byrd composed music of profound beauty and conviction, often for secret services held in private chapels.
In this workshop, we’ll delve into a selection of his Latin motets — works that reflect both his technical mastery and deep personal faith.
