Two exceptional individual artists forming a regular duo come together for a programme of music by a pair of French composers. Debussy’s settings of Pierre Louÿs, Verlaine and Baudelaire precede Messiaen’s of his own texts in highly personal songs which, in the words of The Times, ‘could have been composed for the voice of Magdalena Kožená and the fingers of Mitsuko Uchida’.
